教学内容:5B Unit7“Chinese festivals”(Story time)第一课时。

教学目标及重难点:

1.能正确理解、掌握对话内容,并能准确朗读。

2.能正确地听、说、读、写January、February、call、May、June、September、October、November等词和句型“The Spring Festival is in January or February./ People eat rice dumplings at this festival。”

教学过程:

Step1  Warming up

1. Free talk

2. Enjoy some pictures

T:What are these pictures about?

Ss:Chinese festivals(新授festival)

3. Learn the four Chinese festivals one by one

1)新授Spring Festival

T:Look at this picture,what can you see in the picture?

Ss:I can see red packets/ firecrackers…

T:Can you guess what festival it is?

S:Spring Festival(新授春节)

T:When is the Spring Festival?

S:Its …(新授January、February出示Tip)

T:So the Spring Festival is in January or February.(出示句型)The…is in …or…

2) 新授Dragon Boat Festival.(May、June)

3) 新授Mid-Autumn Festival(September,October)

4) 新授Double Ninth Festival(October,November)

4. Say quickly(Magic eyes)

T:Until now, we know about some Chinese festivals. This time,lets watch a cartoon about festivals.

Step2 Presentation

1. Watch and answer

T:How many festivals are mentioned in the Cartoon.What are they?

Ss:Four. They are Spring Festival、Dragon Boat Festival、Mid-Autumn Festival and Double Ninth Festival.

2.Listen and choose(Spring Festival)

Teach:get together with their families,dumplings

3.Read and judge(Dragon Boat Festival)

Teach:dragon boat races,rice dumplings

4.Read and fill in the form in boys and girls(Mid-Autumn Festival& Double Ninth Festival)

Teach:look at the moon at night,moon cakes,climb mountains,rice cakes

5.Lets read

6.Lets retell: The… is in…or…People...People eat…

Step3 Post reading

1. My favourite festival(示范)

T:Can you talk with your partner about your favourite festival?Try to use the following sentence patterns.(小組讨论展示)

2. Enjoy more Chinese festivals

3. Emotional education

T:We are Chinese.We love Chinese festivals.But remember,we are learning English.So try to search for some Western festivals after class and find out some culture differences.

Step4 Homework

1. Listen and imitate the story.

2. Copy the new words .

3. Try to introduce more Chinese festivals to others.
