這是一本非常有趣且富有寓意的绘本。从前，有三只比利山羊，它们发现，桥那头的小山上有一片又绿又嫩的草地。可是，在去往草地的必经之路上，有一座桥。桥下面的洞穴里，住着一只凶狠无比的巨人怪。它们要怎样过桥吃草呢？

Long long ago， there were three goats named Big， Middle， and Small.

Like all goats， they loved grass， and they were always hungry for more.

One day， Small said， "look over there， across the river！"

The goats looked. They saw a big， green hill（山）.

"That hill is so green！" said Middle.

"It must be covered with tasty grass（好吃的，鲜嫩的草）."

"That grass will make a fine lunch，" said Big."Lets go there now！"

The goats reached the edge（边缘） of the river.

They saw a sign. It said：

Warning！ Troll Bridge！ Do Not Cross！ （警告！巨人怪的桥！不要通行！）

"I dont like trolls！" said Small.

"Neither do I！" said Middle.

"Dont worry，" said Big. He pointed under the bridge. “Look！ We are three smart goats， and I see only one little troll. We can get across that bridge.”

名叫Big的山羊跟Small 和Middle 说不用担心，我们都是聪明的山羊，对方只是小巨人怪，我们会有办法通过这座桥的。到底它们会用什么办法呢？我们来继续看。

Small went first. As he trotted（快步走，小跑） across the bridge， his small feet made a small sound.

The troll woke up. "Who is crossing my bridge？" he yelled.（呼喊）

"Its only me！" said Small. "I want some fresh grass to eat. Please let me go across."

"No one may cross！" cried（呼喊） the troll.

"If you try， I will gobble you up！" （把你吞掉）

The little goat stopped to think.

"Please dont do that，" said Small. "I am very small and thin. Wait for my sister. She is bigger. You will find her much more tasty."

"Well，" said the troll."All right then. Now run away before I change my mind！" （改变我的主意）

So Small ran across the bridge.

Next came Middle. As she trotted across the bridge， her middle-sized feet made a middle-sized sound.

"Who is crossing my bridge？" yelled the troll.

"Its only me！" said the goat."I want some fresh grass to eat. Please let me go across."

"No one may cross！" cried the troll. "If you try to cross my bridge， I will gobble you up！"

"Please dont do that，" said Middle. "Wait for my brother. He is very big， and he will make a much more tasty meal."

"Well，" said the troll."All right then. Now run away before I change my mind！"

So Middle ran across the bridge.

Middle和Small劝说巨人怪等待后面更大更美味的食物，巨人怪同意了，放了他们通过。最后Big 山羊来了，它也能逃脱巨人怪吗？

Then came Big. As he trotted across the bridge， his very big feet made a very big sound.

"Who is crossing my bridge？" yelled the troll.

"Its only me！" said the goat. " I want some fresh grass to eat. Please let me go across."

The troll climbed up the bridge. He saw Big. This goat was very big， just as Middle had said.

"If you try to cross my bridge， I will gobble you up！" cried the troll. "I am very hungry， and you will make a very nice lunch."

"No， I wont，" said Big. "I am bigger than you， and Im going to throw you into the river."

With that， Big put his head down. Then he began to run. He ran right into the troll and pushed him off（把他推下） the bridge.

The troll fell into（掉入） the river.

Then， Big crossed the bridge. He joined Middle and Small on the hill.

They all felt very smart， and they had a lovely lunch of fresh， green grass.

这是一个富有寓意的故事，巨人怪霸占了一座桥，不许别人通过，恶狠狠地说谁通过，就要吞掉他们。三只山羊为了到对面吃上美味的草，來到这里面对巨人怪。他们并没有退缩和害怕，反而三只山羊运用计谋，一个一个陆续通过这座桥。最后体型庞大的Big山羊还把巨人怪推到河流中，以此惩罚他。《三只比利山羊》的故事告诉我们，智慧往往给我们带来打破常规逆向思维的方法，但是还需要去实现的勇气，智慧与勇气两者结合，成功才显得轻而易举。当我们面临险境，勇气就像是我们的防护盾，而智慧是我们的指挥官，如果同时拥有两者，无论学习还是工作将会达到事半功倍的效果。用智慧来思考，以勇气来克服，冲破逆境，就能像三只山羊一样获得最美味的青青草原。
