Then he went off to bed.

“Look at that turnip！ Ill pull it out（拉它出来）， and we can have it for lunch（午餐）.”

The farmer pulled and pulled on the turnip.

But the turnip did not come out.

The farmers wife came out to check on the farmer.

“Wow！” she said.

“That is a big turnip！ We can have it for lunch.”

“Help me pull it out.” said the farmer.

“Woof！ Woof（汪汪汪，狗叫聲）！” said the farmers dog.

“You pull， too！” said the farmer.

“Pull with us！（跟我们一起拉）”said the wife.

“Pull！ Pull！” said the son.

The dog pulled on the farmers son.

The son pulled on his mother.

The wife pulled on the farmer.

The farmer pulled on the turnip.

But the turnip did not come out.

Then a mouse ran up to the farmer（一只老鼠跑出来农夫面前）.

“Squeak！ Squeak！（吱吱吱，老鼠叫声）” said the mouse.

“You cant help！” said the farmer.

“You are too little（小的）！” said the wife.

“Go away（走开）！” said the son.

“Woof！ Woof！” said the dog.

But the mouse pulled on the dog.

The dog pulled on the son.

The son pulled on his mother.

The wife pulled on the farmer.

The farmer pulled on the turnip.

POP！ （砰的一声）

Up came the turnip at last！（最终萝卜被拔起来了）

“What a great big enormous（巨大的）turnip！” yelled everyone（每个人都欢呼叫喊）.

“Now we can have it for lunch.”

The farmer cut up（切掉） the turnip.

The farmers wife baked（烤）the turnip.

Then the farmer，

the farmers wife，

the farmers son，

the farmers dog，

and the mouse，

all ate（吃） the turnip.
