With the 2018 NBA Draft around the corner, today we take a look at the top Chinese1)prospect,Abudushalamu Abudurexiti. For those of you that have yet to come across a name similar to this, it is pronounced Ah-BOO-Doo-Shah-LAH-Moo Ah-BOO-Doo-Rex-EETee. He’s not a highly touted prospect, but he’s2)de finitelyintriguing.

2018年的NBA选秀大会即将开始，今天我们就一起来看看中国的潜力之星—阿不都沙拉木•阿不都热西提。对于那些不熟悉这名字的人，它的正确发音是：Ah-BOODoo-Shah-LAH-Moo Ah-BOO-Doo-Rex-EE-Tee。阿不都沙拉木并没有受到高调的宣传，但他绝对应该得到我们关注的目光。

2017-2018 Season

Abudushalamu Abudurexiti, or Abadu, entered the 2017—2018 season with high expectations after his team, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers, won the Chinese League championship the previous year while he started 12 games and averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in limited minutes. Abadu’s minutes jumped in 2017—2018,as did his production, but hardly to that of an NBA player.That didn’t stop NBA scouts from3)eyeballingthe 6’8 forward.

阿不都沙拉木•阿不都热西提，也就是阿不都，在他的球队新疆飞虎队前一年夺得中国联赛冠军后，以很高的期望值进入了2017—2018赛季，而他在有限的分钟内首发了12场比赛，平均得到3.1分和1.6个篮板。阿不都的上场时间在2017—2018年间大幅提高，他的表现也是如此，但几乎比不上NBA球员。但这并没有阻止NBA球探盯着这位2米多高的前锋。

Strengths

Abudurexiti has great size and length, but his most4)appealingtrait is his ability to shoot the three and with NBA range.

Weaknesses

Abudurexiti plays the three in the CBA, but he will have problems with the quickness of NBA guards and forwards. He is not5)mobileenough to6)defenda wing and not strong enough to guard a power forward. Quickness,movement and strength will all be traits that need to be improved if Abadu is going to find a role at the NBA level.
