跨文化交际能力大赛比赛现场

The National Outline forthe Medium- and Long-Term Talent Development Plan (2010-2020)promulgated in 2010 proposed that colleges and universities should train a large number of talents with international perspectives,proficiency in international rules, and ability to participate in international affairs. In the practice of such cultivate, the “Intercultural Communicative Competence Test” is an outstanding example.

2010年国家颁布的《国家中长期人才发展规划纲要（2010—2020年）》提出，高校要培养大批具有国际视野、通晓国际规则、能够参与国际事务和国际竞争的国际化人才。在跨文化交际能力的培养实践中，“跨文化交际能力大赛”是一个典型代表。

“跨文化交际能力大赛”是一个以英语语言为基础的大赛。在国内得到了有关政府部门和20多所高校的认可；在海外与美国U.S. News Global Education达成战略合作，为获奖选手提供世界知名高校的推荐名额与奖学金机会。跨文化交际能力大赛从跨文化基本知识、跨文化差异和跨文化思维适应角度考查学生在多元文化和跨文化情境下有效开展人际互动的能力，引导学生最大限度地发挥自己的潜力。

Intercultural Communicative Competence Test (hereinafter called “ICCT”) uses English as its media. It has received the full support of relevant government departments and the recognition of more than 20 universities in China. It has reached a strategic cooperation with U.S.News Global Education to provide scholarship opportunities for the outstanding contestants for study at worldclass universities. ICCT examines students’ ability to have effective interpersonal interaction in context from intercultural basics, differences and adaptation. This will help maximize students’ potential in such environments.

对于中学生而言，同外教沟通交流是进行跨文化交际最直接普遍的方式。相对于中国教师，外教在英语教学方面具有先天优势——能帮助学生提升语言能力，并增进对其他文化的了解。在中学生和外教的交往中更可以埋下文化理解和相互包容的种子，最终浇灌出共同繁荣的跨文化友谊之花。

For middle school students, the most direct and common way to engage in intercultural communication is interacting with their foreign teachers. When Compared with Chinese counterparts, foreign teachers have an inherent advantage as native speakers; they are able to help students not only improve their language skills,but also foster better understanding of other cultures.Connections between students and foreign teachers can also be seen like sowing seeds of cultural understanding and mutual tolerance, eventually growing the flowers of friendships and common prosperity.
