香港亚洲国际博览馆推出“亚博善绿”减塑措施

2018年年底，香港亚洲国际博览馆推出“亚博善绿”计划，鼓励前来参与活动的公众人士一同为爱护环境出一份力。

踏入博览及宴会旺季，亚博馆将延续过往环保措施，例如于2020年年底前，将碳强度由2015年水平降低10%，并參与机场管理局的厨余回收计划。亚洲国际博览馆亦早已在大型公众活动的饮料柜位，以胶杯售卖啤酒，顾客如果用同一塑料杯添饮，或退还该塑料杯，可获费用减免或现金回赠。由于计划反应良好，亚博馆决定加大力度，透过环保计划“亚博善绿”，推出折扣优惠鼓励大家参与环保。

Go AWE-Green！ Creating a greener future by incentivising mass participation

At the end of the year， AsiaWorld-Expo （“AWE”） launched its new “Go AWE-Green” campaign this September to drive mass participation for a better， greener future. As part of its continuous commitment to sustainable initiatives， AWE has gone the extra mile by engaging both the public and its retail partners to help protect the environment. Thanks to concerted efforts to maintain its ecofriendly momentum， AWE continues to receive extensive support for its environmental initiatives， which include the food waste recycling and carbon management programmes initiated by Airport Authority Hong Kong， and committed to reducing the carbon intensity by 10% from 2015s level by 2020.

Craig Newman正式就任UFI主席

在11月2日闭幕的第85届国际展览业协会（UFI）年会上，南非约翰内斯堡博览中心首席执行官Craig Newman正式履新UFI2019年度主席。他将自己形容为一个“有热情的人”。“无论做任何事，都必须对工作有热情才能把它做好来。”Newman如此形容自己就职UFI主席的心态。

在推动UFI代表全球展览行业的同时，他的另一个重要目标还包括让中东和非洲的会展业更多地参与到全球展览交流钟来。在过去几个月中，Newman推动UFI在中东和非洲设立了一位新的分部经理，并计划2019年春天在该地区举办一场区域会展大会。

Newman starts with passion

Craig Newman， CEO of Johannesburg Expo Centre， South Africa， and 2019 UFI President， describes himself as a man of passion. "Because whatever you do， you must be passionate about it if you want to do it right"， Newman states and that is how he approaches the role he took over at the conclusion of the 85th UFI Global Congress in St. Petersburg， Russia. While he sees it as his first objective to represent the UFI association and its values entirely， he plans to also make sure that the Middle East and Africa， which represent great potential for any exhibitor， are involved in the exhibition industry on a global scale.

澳大利亚会展协会推出“卓越展览”项目

近日，澳大利亚会展协会（EEAA）与当地一家机构再次共同推出“卓越展览”项目，涵盖可持续发展等方面。这个认证项目专为展览从业者打造，旨在激励创新，提升综合技能，留住人才以及为人才提供理想的职业生涯道路。该认证保护三个板块。一是项目管理，时间为2019年2月4-5日，主要涵盖如何成功运用以及打造各类会展项目；二是社交媒体管理，时间为2019年2月18-19日，主要探讨会展企业如何开发以及监管社交媒体工具；三是可持续发展环保管理，时间为2019年3月4-5日。

Programme for excellence in Australia

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia （EEAA） and TAFE NSW are bringing back the Excelling in Exhibitions Program in 2019， including a series on sustainability. The accredited programme is customised for those already in the exhibitions industry. It is focused on nurturing innovation， improving transferable skills， retaining staff and providing career pathways. The series consists of three components： Series 1， Project Management， February 4 and 5， 2019， investigates project management tools， systems and procedures for ensuring a more structured and holistic approach to providing outstanding small or large scale exhibitions. Series 2， Social Media Management， taking place February 18 and 19， 2019， discusses the development， implementation and monitoring of integrated social media strategies for exhibition businesses and stakeholders. Series 3 on March 4 and 5， 2019， focuses on Sustainability Management.
