Born in Zhuji City， Zhejiang Province in 1934， Bian Peiyuan joined the army when he was 17 years old and graduated in 1954. Now he is a member both of China Calligraphers Association and Zhejiang Calligraphers Association， member of Calligraphy Creation Committee， China Talent Research， and member of Gallery Art Committee in China History Museum etc. He has participated in various exhibitions and won grand prizes.

培元，藝名边原，字集之，号天庵，1934年生于浙江诸暨。17岁从军，后调入南京海军学校，1954年毕业，在海航五师任政工、宣教等职。现为中国书法家协会会员、浙江省书法家协会会员、中国人才研究会书法创作委员、中国历史博物馆画廊艺术委员。在学习艺术创作的道路中临池不辍、博览众长，曾参加中华全国总工会成立70周年书画大赛获金奖，2002年获由文化部社会文化司主办的中国国际科技文化成果博览会书画大赛成年组金奖。endprint
