Agra Fort is built with red sandstone, so it is also called Red Fort. You can see many fairy-tale palaces in it.

Taj Mahal 泰姬陵

The Taj Mahal, like the Great Wall, is one of the “Seven Wonders”of the world. It is a tomb in India. A king built it for his dear queen. About 20,000 workers took almost 22 years to build it. Its name means the “crown of the palace”. More than 43 kinds of precious stones make up the jewels in this crown.

This garden tomb is famous for its perfect symmetry: it is as wide as it is high. When people visit it, they need to take off their shoes. And the tickets are expensive in morning and evening, but cheap during the day. Can you guess why?

由于泰姬陵在早晚和白天的景色受光线的影响有一定的差异，所以，它的票价是实行早中晚不同价格收费的。如果是在夏天的中午去泰姬陵的话，由于印度夏天气温非常高，游客脱了鞋走在烫脚的地面上，便只能蹦蹦跳跳地前行了。所以，要尽量避开夏天中午去哦。这也是为什么下午的票价会比早上和晚上高。

法塔赫布尔西格里古城

在阿格拉，有三处世界文化遗产：泰姬陵、阿格拉红堡和1526年至1658年期间莫卧儿帝国的首都法塔赫布尔西格里（Fatehpur Sikri）古城。法塔赫布尔西格里古城的遗址得名于其附近的一个名叫西格里的小村，于1986年被列入世界文化遗产。法塔赫布尔西格里古城原意为“胜利城”，始建于16世纪下半叶，坐落在印度北方城邦阿格拉境内。该遗址拥有众多颇具特色的寺庙和一座气势宏大、装饰豪华的皇宫，突出地体现了莫卧儿文明的辉煌成就。城市的主体建筑以赤沙石为原料，装饰着嵌出图案并刻上各种细密精致花纹的白色大理石。城中的清真寺是印度最大的清真寺之一，可以容纳1万多名信徒。此外，它还是圣人谢赫·沙利姆·奇斯蒂的陵墓所在地。
