一、文体概述

推荐信是写给个人或单位的求职或求学的信件，应对方的需求在内容上有不同的侧重点，一般包括以下内容：（1）推荐人与被推荐人的关系；（2）被推荐人的能力与经历； （3）被推荐人的个性特点。不论何种推荐信，都是以第三人称展示个人技能或特点。

本文是李华向教授推荐他的同学李明到教授所在大学学习。

1. classmate→classmates 因one of后加名词复数。

2. his→your 因是推荐李明到professor所在的学校，因此人称代词应用your。

3. 在expert和science中间加in 因be expert in，是指在某些方面的专家，固定搭配。

4. a→an 因excellent是以元音音素开头，不定冠词应用an。

5. get→got 描述过去获得的成绩，谓语动词应该用过去式。

6. but→and 指他热心、进步，是并列关系，用and连接。

7. highly→high 修饰名词potentiality（潜力）用形容词。

8.划去learning前的the 指学习能力好，搭配为be good at doing sth。

9. whether→if 意指如果能被你们学校录取，他将会是你们学校优秀的学生，是条件状语，不用whether引导，应用if。

10. favor→favorable 修饰名词应该用形容词。
