chaotic phenomena in express service.)“乱象”就是“混乱或无秩序现象”，英语译为chaoticphenomenon,disorderlyphe⁃nomenon,messyphenomenon。例如：1.有关政府部门已采取有效措施制止有些小贩在人行道上摆摊等乱象。Theconcern⁃inggovernmentaldepartmenthasadoptedeffective measurestostop such chaoticphenomenaassettingupstallsbysomevendorsonthesidewalks.

2.行人们十分反感有些司机占用人行道停车的乱象。Thepedestriansare quitedisgustedwiththemessyphenome⁃nonofparkingcarsbysomedriversonthesidewalks.

“混乱”、“无秩序”和“乱七八糟”，英语译为chaos,disorder,mess。例如：3.这个城市高峰时段严重交通堵塞已导致道路上一片混乱。Heavytrafficjam during rush hours in this city hascausedtotalchaosontheroads.

4.妈妈要求她的儿子打扫干净他的乱七八糟的卧室。Motheraskedhersontocleanuphisbedroomwhichwasinaterriblemess.

“混乱局面”和“混乱状况”，英语译为 chaotic state, chaotic situation。例如：5.这个欧洲国家的总理批评他的内政部长，说没有什么借口可以掩饰他们国家这种内政混乱局面。ThePremierof theEuropeancountrycriticizedhisMinis⁃terofInternalAffairs,sayingthattherewasnoexcuseforthis chaotic stateofinternalaffairsintheircountry.▲
