Exhibits closely related to the status quo of textile industry

2016-10-31

China Textile 2016年10期

This year marks the beginning of the 13th Five-Year Program period, during which Chinas textile industry is facing critical structural adjustment and industrial upgrading, while the Asian textile industry is also in the stage of optimization and adjustment. In this context, both the global exhibitors and the visitors at home and abroad are showing a great enthusiasm to the upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on October 21st - 25th, 2016.

Scale

The worlds largest textile machinery exhibition most valued by textile machinery enterprises globally

Currently, the overall market is not enjoying a good business condition, but compared with other industries, the overall situation of the textile industry is good, therefore, ITMA ASIA + CITME 2016 has not been much impacted. According to the current data, the exhibition area this year is almost the same with the previous editions, which is expected to be nearly 170,000 square meters, attracting more than 1,600 exhibitors from around the world to exhibit the latest products. In spite of a less growth percentage of the scale than the previous years, the exhibition this year is still the worlds largest textile machinery exhibition most valued by textile machinery enterprises globally.

ITMA ASIA + CITME 2016 moves to National Convention and Exhibition Center(Shanghai), covering six halls, including three single-storey halls H1 - H3 as well as the first floor halls of three double-storey halls H4.1 - H6.1. Specifically, Hall 1 and Hall 2 are to mainly display spinning, manmade fiber and nonwoven equipment; Hall 3 for weaving equipment; Hall 4 for knitting machinery; Hall 5 for dyeing and printing, garments, instruments and meters; Hall 6 for dyeing and finishing equipment.

Exhibits

Increasingly improved energysaving levels & continuously declined consumption indicators

During the 13th Five-Year Program period, the textile industry will vigorously promote the advanced process, technology and equipment with a wide range of applicability, in order to enhance the competitiveness of textile industry by improving the automation of textile machinery. Moreover, energy-saving & emission-reduction and green technology equipment will also become a new impetus to the development of the textile industry. According to the current exhibits submitted by the enterprises, the exhibits this year are closely related to national advocacy of the “intelligent manufacturing”, well reflecting the features of the six intelligent production lines including spinning, chemical filament, knitting, automatic dyeing and printing, automatic non-woven fabrics and garments, basically showcasing the development trend of “increasingly improved energy-saving levels& continuously declined consumption indicators”. It can be seen that the characteristics of the exhibits this year are closely related to the status quo of Chinas textile industry.endprint

In fact, during these two years, China has witnessed the largest use of automatic equipment in the world, and such demand has always been leading the development of equipment technology. The cost and environmental issues could also find solutions in the field of equipment technology. The equipment has been greatly improved in terms of efficiency, labor reduction, and energy saving. For example, Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry has developed an automatic doffing and transmission system, achieving automatic connection of every process in man-made fiber manufacturing as well as a total integration of the above processes and other links including intelligent logistic system, except the sections from doffing to draw texturing. In addition, a number of intelligent production line projects were completed in 2015, including the digital workshop of Jiangsu Dasheng Group Co., Ltd. and the intelligent spinning production line of Shandong Huaxing Textile Group.endprint
