Echoes of Dutch Golden Age Painting in the Fading Shadows of Old Chongqing Robert Van der Hilst Photography Exhibition

On January 15, the famous Netherlands photographer, Mr. Robert Van der Hilst Photography Exhibition, Echoes of Dutch Golden Age Painting in the Fading Shadows of Old Chongqing was on display at the China Three Gorges Museum, Chongqing. This old man, who is known as the "master of light" in Europe painted the old Chongqing life with 31 of his works.

These works on display, including four parts of "light", "realism", "portrait" and "still life", each part chose 1 Netherlands painting for appreciation and comparison. it mainly f lmed the old Chongqing people’s life in Xiahao Street of Nan ' an District,and Huang Jiaoya Street in Nan Shan Moutain. Robert is a famous photographer in Netherlands, who has visited 24 provinces in China, and more than 2000 households, and shot a large collection of photographic works of the Chinese family.Many of the original characters in his works appeared in the opening ceremony of that day, who are all old Chongqing residents living in Nan’an District for many years.

It is reported that the exhibition will be on display at the Museum until March 13, and will be free and open to the public. Deputy Director of Chongqing Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Mr. Long Zhou; Netherlands Consul-General in Chongqing, Mr. Guido Tielman have attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Milan International Exposition China Road Show in Chongqing to Enhance Cooperation in Art

On January 5, the 21st session of the triennial of Milan International Exposition China Road show was held in Chongqing Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Director of the Milan Triennale Foundation Mr. Andrea Cancellato also came to Chongqing, telling the Milan triennial history and main featuresof the upcoming 21st triennial of Milan.

“Triennial of Milan” is an institution that dedicated to exhibition activities, international fair that’s held once every three years. From April 2 to September 12 this year, the 21st session of the Milan triennial will be held in Milan on the theme "The 21st Century: The Design after Design", the exhibition will involve the construction, dissemination, landscape and Visual Arts.

Italy Consul General in Chongqing, Mr. Sergio Maffettone said that Italy is considered to be a country of design, architecture and art in the world. Given that a large number of outstanding figures and institutions of art and design in Chongqing, He believed that Chongqing would play a special role in promoting bilateral exchange of art and culture. Italy also hoped to attract more China industrial design market for participation, so as to promote the development of local tourism.

Nepal's Ambassador to China Visits Chongqing

December 2015 16--17, Nepal's Ambassador to China, Dr. Mahesh Kumar Maskey visited Chongqing. The Premiere of Short Film Trilogy of Italy in the Eyes of Chongqing People Kicks off in Chongqing

On January 24, a grand opening ceremony of short film trilogy of Italy in the eyes of Chongqing people, that’s hosted by Italian Consulate – General and Our Film Studio was successfully held at Palm Spring International Centre, Chongqing. The film director Chen Jiaxin introduced himself about the travelling story of going to Italy as a guest.

The film was description of this Chongqing guy’s journey in Italy. He has made romantic and funny short film Trilogy through his own creative way. It was the f rst time Chen Jiaxin cooperated with Italy Consulate General in Chongqing for this video series.

CFO Approves and Awards Star Communities of Overseas Chinese Affairs Work

Lately Deputy Director of Chongqing Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Off ce, Mr. Yang Daqing went to Fengtian Road community in Shapingba District, Shuanghu road community in Yubei District, and Yangguang Community in Dadukou District, for acceptance and awarded brands.

Yang Daqing awarded plaques to communities after acceptance, he said that the overseas Chinese Affairs work of all communities have good system and very active. Serving for overseas work is ef fective, overseas Chinese have played a unique prominent role. He hoped that all communities play good two-way service mechanisms of "Home of Overseas Chinese”, increasing effectiveness to serve overseas Chinese to form a more perfect service network for overseas Chinese.

So far Chongqing has created a total of 5 “star communities of Overseas Chinese Affairs of China", 10 “demonstration unit of national communities of overseas Chinese Affairs work ", 30 municipal level of "home of overseas Chinese”.
