Aims & Scope

Asian Pacif c Journal of Tropical Biomedicine (APJTB) aims to set up and provide an international academic communication platform for physicians, medical scientists, allied health scientists and public health w orkers, especially those in the Asian P acif c re gion and worldwide on tropical biomedicine, infectious diseases and public

health, and to meet the gro wing challenges of understanding,

preventing and controlling the dramatic global emer gence and reemergence of infectious diseases in the Asian Pacif c region.

APJTB publishes new f ndings in both basic and clinical (including modern, traditional and epidemiological) research on tropical

biomedicine and public health worldwide through studying biology (botany, zoology and microbiology), analyzing biological substances and utilizing biotechnologies to assist the diagnosis and treatment of tropical disease. Our areas of focus include biology , bacteriology, biochemistry, biotechnology, cell biology , environmental biology, microbiology, medical microbiology , pharmacology , physiology , pathology, immunology , virology , toxicology , epidemiology , vaccinology, hematology, histopathology, cytology and genetics for the tropical diseases.

As an international journal, APJTB is distrib uted worldwide and invites papers from any corner of the w orld on all areas of tropical biomedicine and public health, with the following sections: Original articles; Re view articles in vited by the Editor; Mini-re views of internationally important topics; Short communications; Clinical

experiences; Case reports; Letters to the editor.

Тhe journal is proud to ha ve an international and di verse editorial board that will assist and f acilitate the publication of articles that ref ect a global view on tropical biomedicine, infectious diseases and public health, as well as emphasizing our focus on supporting the

needs of public health practitioners.

APJTB will allow us to seek opportunities to work with others who share mutual goals, and to enhance our w ork through partnership, and to uphold the standards of our profession and contrib ute to its advancement.
