东亚经济交流推进机构第五届总会将在烟台举办

The Fifth General Conference of the Organization for the East Asia Economic Department Is to Be Held in Yantai

由中国烟台市、天津市、青岛市、大连市，日本北九州市、下关市、福冈市、熊本市，韩国釜山广域市、仁川广域市、蔚山广域市等11个会员城市参加的东亚经济交流推进机构（以下简称“机构”）第五届总会将于本月下旬在烟台举办。这是烟台市2015年举办的最重要的国际会议之一，同时也是东亚3国11个城市开展环黄海地区次区域合作、加快推进烟台中日韩地方经济合作示范区和烟台中韩产业园建设的一次重要会议。本次机构总会的主题是推进会员城市间相互投资合作。

东亚经济交流推进机构成立于2004年，前身是1991年发起创立的东亚（环黄海）城市会议，是东亚环黄海地区中日韩城市之间建立的国际友城交流合作机制，宗旨是促进各城市间经济交流，实现贸易、投资自由化，最终目标是建立区域性自贸区。机构总会每两年召开一次，由会员城市市长和国际商会会长参加，协商确定机构发展方向、主要交流计划等重大问题，是机构最高级别会议。机构总会的召开为推动各城市在国际经济贸易、物流、环保、旅游等领域开展广泛的交流与合作发挥了重要作用。

烟台市自1994年参与机构的各项交流活动以来，与各城市在经贸、环保、物流、人文等领域交往密切，为推动烟台市对外开放，特别是对日韩的交流合作发挥了重要作用。烟台市还于2006年10月的亚欧论坛期间承办了第二届旅游分会会议，2008年9月的第二届葡酒节暨第十届果蔬会期间承办了第五届制造业分会会议，2013年8月承办了第八届环境分会会议，同年11月召开了第八届机构执行委员会会议。目前，日韩各机构城市在烟台均有投资，烟台还开通了到日本北九州市、下关市、福冈市、韩国仁川市、釜山市的海上航线，到韩国仁川、釜山的空中航线。

The fi fth general conference of the Organization for the East Asia Economic Department to be participated by 11 member cities including China’s Tianjin, Qingdao, Dalian and Yantai, Japan’s Kitakyushu, Shimonoseki, Fukuoka and Kumamoto, and Korea’s Busan Metropolitan City, Incheon Metropolitan City and Ulsan Metropolitan City will be held on Nov.22 in Yantai. It is one of the most important international conferences in Yantai in 2015 and a signif i cant meeting for the eleven cities in East Asia to conduct sub-regional cooperation in the Pan Yellow Sea Region and speed up the construction of the China-Japan-South Korea Free-Trade Zone.

Ever since Yantai participated in the exchanges of the organization in 1994, it has made close relations with the other cities in economic trade, environmental protection, logistics and humanity and has played a key role to promote the opening of Yantai and especially the communication and cooperation with Japan and Korea. Authorized by Shandong Provincial Government, Yantai leaders organized teams to participate in every general conference held in Japan and Korea. At present the member cities in Japan and Korea all make investment in Yantai. Yantai also opens its sea lanes to Japan’s Kitakyushu, Shimonoseki and Fukuoka, and Korea’s Incheon and Busan in addition to its air routes to Korea’s Incheon and Busan.
