Museums are its another cultural establishment. The University of Chicago， famous for sociologists， economists and Nobel Prize winners， is one of 50 colleges and universities in the city.

The former worlds tallest skyscraper， Sears Tower， is also there. The Chicago Herald Tribune Building looks much more magnificent with the lights on at night. The two splendid towers of Marina City are called “A Pile of Pennies” by the English and “Ears of Corn” by the Americans because of the way they are built.

曾经的世界最高楼——希尔斯大楼，也坐落在芝加哥。芝加哥先驱论坛报大厦夜晚灯火辉煌十分壮观。这座滨海城的两个辉煌的塔以修建方式命名，英国人修建的被称为“便士桩”，美国人修建的叫“麦穗”。
