Amsterdam is the capital of Netherlands and also its largest city.It was once an important port,and has many old canals that run in a circle pattern through the center of the city.Because the main roads cross one canal after another,Amsterdam has many bridges.Along the canals,the roads are cobbled and there are many tall old buildings.阿姆斯特丹是荷兰的首都，也是荷兰最大的城市。它曾经是一个重要的港口，因此有许多古老的运河环绕。许多主干道沿着一条条运河延伸，因此阿姆斯特丹有很多桥。运河沿岸的道路都是鹅卵石铺就的，高楼林立，古色古香。
