When he just stepped into the entertainment circle, Fang Zuming(房祖名)benefited from the powerful influence of his father Cheng Long(also known as Jackie Chan,成龙). Whenever interviewed, he would be asked about his family. But now he has grown up and no longer wants to live under his fathers reputation. Instead, he hopes to use his own talents to establish himself in his own arena. So he does not want people to mention his father in front of him.

When he was young, he dreamed of becoming a paparazzo(狗仔队员), because he likes photography and hopes to exchange information about the techniques with other paparazzi (“狗仔队员”,复数形式).

Fang is a simple and honest man, with a lovely simper(憨笑). When interviewed by some sly reporters, he always answers their questions in a straightforward manner. Because of his honesty, many girls like him. But he says that he will not get married until he is 35 years old.

Not long ago, Lin Xinru(林心如) served as a clerk in a KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken,肯德基) store in Beijing, persuading the customers to donate one yuan for the improvement of the nutrition of the children in the quake-hit areas while selling them products. Although it was only a kind of symbolic work which lasted for half an hour, Lin did a very good job and explained to the customers the meaning of the donation very patiently.

Except for an eye-catching black velvet cap on her head, Lin was simply dressed like a student, which was very suitable to such an occasion.

When asked whether she would be paid for this kind of activity, she said that she did it for nothing, which was confirmed by the sponsor, according to reporters.

Han Qiaoshengs Claim of 35 Years Secret Love for Sang Lan

As a sports program commentator in Beijing Olympic Games, Han Qiaosheng(韩乔生) once blurted out (脱口而出) that Michael Phelps (菲尔普斯), nicknamed “a creature from outer space”(外星人), should be dissected(解剖), and that Zhang Xiaoping(张小平), a Chinese boxer, was like a masculine hawk flying from the prairie. At such remarks, you must have laughed heartily. The Olympics made Mr. Han a popular figure. What would he say if he became a film commentator?

Not long ago, when discussing films with Chen Bin (陈斌), host of the film channel of CCTV (China Central Television), Mr. Han also made many witty remarks(说话情趣横生): He said that he liked Liu Ruoying(刘若英), whom he mistakenly called Chen Ruoying(陈若英); he attributed his popularity to media hype(媒体炒作); when complimenting Sang Lan who was present as a guest, he said that he had loved her secretly for 35 years, but actually she was born in 1981.

Influenced by his son, Mr. Han likes seeing Hollywood films. As to Chinese films, he thinks that there are no heavyweights in terms of directors and actors. He compares the situation to playing mah-jong(麻将), saying that there are only three players, namely, Chen Kaige (陈凯歌), Zhang Yimou (张艺谋), and Feng Xiaogang (冯小刚). Its hard to find another good player. As a professional commentator, he says frankly that he is not satisfied with sports films in China. He thinks that many Chinese sports heroes have become well-known to the world through the Beijing Olympics. Their moving stories are good materials for sports films.

Halle Berry Does Bill Clinton

Halle Berry is the first African-American woman to win an Oscar for Best Actress and the first black bond girl(邦女郎) in James Bond 007(007电影). She is picked by Esquire(《绅士》) as “2008s Sexiest Woman Alive”(2008年当世最性感女郎) even though she is now middle-aged. In an article on the website of Esquire, Berry revealed what she felt when she received such an anniversary honor for the first time: “I really dont know what it means to a woman of 42 years old who has children. But Im glad to receive this honor.”

Besides, the audience can enjoy the funny picture in which Berry does Bill Clinton. She not only takes the same posture as Clinton did on the cover in 2000 for Esquire, but dresses herself in the same manner by wearing a suit and a blue tie. People cannot look at Berrys picture without thinking of Clintons.
