This is a true story which happened in England.An old man,who had no children, felt lonely and decided to live in the Senior Center(养老院)when he turned weaker andweaker.After he announced that he would sellhis luxurious(豪华的)house,hundreds of peo-ple who wanted to buy it came to him.At first,the old man made an offer of 80,000 pounds for the house,but soon the price soared to 100,000 pounds and still went higher.Yet the old man looked gloomy and sullen.Actually,if it had not been for his bad health,he would not have made up his mind to sell the house,which de- companied him for more than half of his life.
