According to China's Customs'statistics,from Januaryto May 2008,the import and export volume of foreign-invested enterprises totaled US$563.612 billion,an.increase of 21.28 percent over the same period of lastyear,5.02 percent lower than the growth rate of the country (26.30percent) in the same period,accounting for 55.69 percent of thetotal import and export of the country.
