There are seven days of the week. It makes time more easily measureable1. Every day is identifiable2 by special plans.

Monday is seemed by many to be the “worst” day of the week. It is the day when people should go back to work after enjoying the weekend. Most students go to school in the morning and go back home in the afternoon. Most workers go to work in the morning and go home in the evening.

Tuesday is the second day of the week， and is the same as Monday in many ways. There is not a big difference3 between Tuesday and Monday. Most people go to school or work and go home to watch television， play games， make plans with friends， spend time with family， read， or do relaxing things.

Wednesday is the third day of the week， and is at the “middle” of the work week. Some people think Wednesday is a “hump4 day”. Once its workday is over， workers will have passed5 the work-week “hump”， and will be on the downturn6， because only two days on the job will remain7 in the week.

Thursday is the fourth day of the week， and is liked by many， because its much more close to the end of the work week.

Friday is the fifth day of the week， and the end of the work-week and school-week for the most of workers and students. By Friday afternoon or evening， most students or workers cannot wait8 to leave and go home. They wont have to go back to school or work until Monday.

Saturday is the most highly regarded9 day of the week. Because Sunday follows it （and there is no work or school to go， for most people）， everyone is free to stay out until late at night， having fun with friends. To be sure， Saturday is thought of as a day to take up hobbies that couldnt be enjoyed during the week days.
