My message is that well be watching you. This is all wrong. I shouldnt be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you！

You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. And yet Im one of the lucky ones.

People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction， and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you！

For more than 30 years， the science has been crystal clear. How dare you continue to look away and come here saying that youre doing enough， when the politics and solutions needed are still nowhere in sight.

You say you hear us and that you understand the urgency. But no matter how sad and angry I am， I do not want to believe that. Because if you really understood the situation and still kept on failing to act， then you would be evil. And that I refuse to believe.

The popular idea of cutting our emissions in half in 10 years only gives us a 50 per cent chance of staying below 1.5 degrees [of warming] and the risk of setting off irreversible chain reactions beyond human control.

Fifty per cent may be acceptable to you. But those numbers do not include tipping points， most feedback loops， additional warming hidden by toxic air pollution or the aspects of equity and climate justice.

They also rely on my generation sucking hundreds of billions of tonnes of your carbon dioxide out of the air with technologies that barely exist. So a 50 percent risk is simply not acceptable to us—we who have to live with the consequences.

To have a 67 percent chance of staying below a 1.5 Celcius global temperature rise—the best odds given by the IPCC the world had 420 gigatonnes of CO2 left to emit back on January 1， 2018.

Today， that figure is already down to less than 350 gigatonnes.

How dare you pretend that this can be solved with just “business as usual” and some technical solutions？ With todays emissions levels， that remaining carbon dioxide budget will be entirely gone within less than 8? years.

There will not be any solutions or plans presented in line with these figures here today， because these numbers are too uncomfortable. And you are still not mature enough to tell it like it is.

You are failing us. But the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you.

And if you choose to fail us， I say： We will never forgive you. We will not let you get away with this. Right here， right now is where we draw the line.

The world is waking up. And change is coming， whether you like it or not.

我要说的是，我们会盯着你们。一切都大错特错：我不该站在这里。我该回大洋彼岸去上学。你们个个想从我们年青一代身上寻找希望？你们怎能这样？！

你们虚言巧语，偷走我的梦想和童年，而我还算幸运的。

生灵涂炭，生命丧失，生态系统全面崩溃，人类开始走向灭绝。而你们却只讲金钱，只讲经济永恒增长之类的天方夜谭。你们怎能这样？！

30多年来，科学研究结果一清二楚，但却仍拿不出相应的政治决心和应对方法，你们怎能继续视而不见，来这里说什么问心无愧？

你们声称听到了我们的呼声，明白时不我待。无论我多么悲伤和愤怒，对此我都不愿相信。如果你们真正了解现状，却依然只说不做，你们就太恶毒了。这一点我拒不相信。

众人都喊10年减排一半，但即使减半，我们也只有50%的机会将气候变暖控制在摄氏1.5度之内，而且要冒引发人类无法控制的不可逆连锁反应的风险。

对你们来说，50%也许可以接受，但50%不包括生态临界点，也不包括多数气候反馈循环，更不包括在有毒空气污染掩盖下额外产生的气候变暖现象或公平性和气候正义各个方面的问题。

而且，这50%还得靠我这一代人，仅凭还不存在的技术手段，吸走你们在空气中制造的数千亿吨二氧化碳。因此，50%的风险对我们——对不得不吞食苦果的我们来说，根本不能接受。

根据政府间气候变化专门委员会最乐观的估计，要想有67%的概率实现1.5℃温控目标，截至2018年1月1日，全世界还可排放4200亿吨二氧化碳。

今天，这个数量已经降低到不足3500亿吨。

你们怎敢假装靠维持原状和一些技术方案就能解决问题？按照目前排放程度，不到8年半，余下的碳預算就会被全部用完。

今天在这里，不会提出任何针对这些数据的解决方法或方案，因为这些数字太令人不安，而你们依然没有成熟到承认这一事实。

你们让我们失望，好在年青一代开始意识到你们的背叛。未来世世代代都注视着你们。

如果你们决意让我们失望，我们将永不饶恕，不会放过你们。此时、此地，我们划定底线。

喜欢也罢，不喜欢也罢，世界在苏醒，变革将来临。
