Using Hong Kong as a hub in Asia will soon make even more sense. The ASEAN Economic Community, a new single market of some 620 million people, is set to launch by the end of the year.

Andrius Bartuskevicius (Vice Chairman, Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong): Apart from mainland China, ASEAN market is another big trade partner for Hong Kong. It actually is the second largest trade partner for Hong Kong, and there is [sic] a lot of opportunities for Europeans coming over to Hong Kong to use it as a hub to expand their businesses into Asian market.
