Born in Zibo City， Shandong Province in 1963， Wang Benjie graduated from Shandong Light Industry and Art School in 1986， participated in the landscape paintings workshop of China Artists Association in 2000， and studied in the postgraduate class of Chinese National Academy of Arts in 2003 successively. Now he is a member of China Artists Association， Vice-President of Beijing Ink and Color Academy of Painting， Academician of Chinese Ink Painting Research Institute and visiting professor of Guangxi Normal University etc. He has held many solo exhibitions at home and abroad and won grand prizes. Many of his artworks have been collected by famous organizations and individuals.

王本杰，1963年生于山東淄博，1986年毕业于山东轻工美术学校，2000年结业于中国美协山水画高研班， 2003年就读于中国艺术研究院研究生班。现为中国美术家协会会员、中国工艺美术家协会会员、北京墨彩画院副院长、民革中央画院画家、文化部全国青联委员、山东翰林画院院长、中国水墨研究院院士、文化部中国画创作中心画家、中华书画名人网艺术顾问、广西师范大学客座教授。

2016年11月1日在乌克兰首都基辅库奇马总统基金会举办个人画展，作品《源远流长》被乌克兰前总统库奇马先生收藏。

2013年10月参加美国纽约第32届国际艺术博览会。

2012年参加纪念辛亥革命100周年海峡两岸中国画名家邀请展（台南大学）。
