I will not throw the cat out the window

Or put a frog in my sisters bed.

I will not tie my brothers shoelaces[鞋带] together Nor jump from the roof of Dads shed[棚屋]. I shall remember my aunts next birthday

And tidy my room once a week.

Ill not moan[抱怨] at Mums cooking (Ugh! Fish fingers注 again!)

Nor give her any more of my cheek.

I will not pick my nose if I can help it I shall fold up my clothes, comb my hair. I will say please and thank you (even when I dont mean it)

And never spit or shout or even swear[咒骂].

I shall write each day in my diary Try my hardest to be helpful at school. I shall help old ladies cross roads (even if they dont want to) And when others are rude Ill stay cool.

Ill go to bed with the owls and be up with the larks[云雀]

And close every door behind me.

I shall squeeze from the bottom of every toothpaste[牙膏] tube

And stay where trouble cant find me.

I shall start again, turn over a new leaf[一页],

Leave my bad old ways forever. Shall I start them this year, or next year

Shall I sometime[将来某个时候], or...?

我不会将猫咪扔出窗外

或在妹妹的床上放青蛙。

我不会将哥哥的鞋带绑起来

或从老爸的棚屋顶上跳下来。

我会记住阿姨的下一个生日

并每周收拾一次房间。

我不会抱怨老妈的厨艺（呸！又是炸鱼条！）

也不会再给她摆臭脸。

如果能忍住的话，我不会再挖鼻孔

我会自己叠衣服、梳头发。

我会说“请”和“谢谢”（即便并非发自真心）再也不吐痰、尖叫以及咒骂。

我会每天写日记

在学校里尽最大努力给人帮忙。

我会扶老太太过马路（即便她们不想过）

当他人表现粗鲁时，我会保持冷静。

我会像猫头鹰一样早睡，像云雀那样早起

每次都会关上门。

我会每次都从牙膏管的底部向上挤

再也不会惹麻烦。

我会重新开始，翻开新的一页，

将过去的坏习惯抛诸脑后。

我应该从今年开始呢，还是明年呢

还是将来有一天呢，还是……？
