一、教学目标

A:知识目标

(1)Keyvocabulary:mind,turn down,notatall,rightaway

(2)Keystructure:

—Sorry,Iwon’tdo itagain.

B:能力目标

1.能以“向对方委婉地提出请求及表达自己的谦意”为话题,展开会话,并能就自己身边的事创编对话。

2.进一步加强学生的听力及口语能力的训练,培养学生的创新能力。

C:情感态度及价值观

1.根据已有知识,激发学生探索新知的兴趣。

2.培养学生文明礼貌,以礼待人的优良品质。

二、教学重点、难点

三、教学过程

Step 1 Leading-in

T:Ihave a trouble.Ihave a new neighbor.He likesmusic verymuch and plays it loudly.I can’t stand it.What should I do?Whatshould Isay to him in a politelyway?

S1:Don’tplay themusic too loud.

S2:Could you pleasenotplay themusic too loud?

设计意图:教师通过“抱怨自己的新邻居给自己带来的烦恼,询问该怎么办”这一情景导入新课,怎样礼貌地提出请求,并复习学习过的提出请求的方式。

Step 2 Presentation

1.Show a pictureofa dirty house.

S1:sweep the floor,do the dishes,take out the trash,wash the clothes...

T:She is busy.Shewants her husband to help her.What can she say in a politeway?

2.Show some pictures to practice the conversationsby using the target language:Would youmind doing...?

设计意图:教师通过设计Marry要举办聚会的情景,并展示她家凌乱的房间图片。学习使用Would youminddoing...?Wouldyoumindnotdoing...?句型及其回答。配合多媒体展示多张图片,让学生两人一组操练句型,达到熟练运用语言的目的。

Step 3 Pairwork

Practice making conversations by using the target language:

“Would youmind doing...?”or“Would youmind not doing...?”

Step 4 Listening 1a

1.Look at the pictures and I’ll ask students to read the dialogue in the picture.

2.Point to the four requests in the box.Read each phrase to the class and get students to repeat it.Ask students to explainwhateach onemeans.

3.Thengetstudents towrite the letterofeach requestin the correctplacein thepicture tomatch the requestswith thepeople.

4.Correct theanswer.

Step 5 Listening1b

1.Ask differentstudents to look atthe listof requestsin Activity1a.

2.Play the recorder.

3.Then check the answers.

Step 6 Listening 2a,2b

1.Point to the pictures.Ask five differentstudents to read thequestions to the class.

2.Listen to the tape and number the pictures in the order you hear.

3.Correctanswers.

4.Listen again and finish aand b.

设计意图:通过听力训练提高学生的听力水平。

Step 7 Group-work

Four students isa group.Acta shortplay aboutan annoying thing in your life andmake requests in a politeway.Others students find thatwho is thebestperformer.

设计意图:学校正在创建“美丽校园,文明相伴”。你看到一个同学的不文明行为,前去制止。构思情节,要用上Would youmind(not)doing sth.?的句型。4人一组。此项活动既锻炼了学生在现实生活中运用语言的能力,又对学生进行了思想教育,做一个文明的中学生。

Step 8 W riting

Write a letter tomy new neighbor.

After they finish,let them check each other in a group.

Ask severalstudents to read theirwriting.

设计意图:语言的落实最终还是要能写出来。最后这一环节让学生整理一下思路,用目标语言来完成任务。

Step 10 Homework

2.如果你是劳动委员,请给同学们分配一些打扫班级的任务(用上would youmind...等表示请求的句型。)

五、教学总结

本节课以Marry要举办生日聚会,她要使用礼貌的语言请求她的丈夫做某事和不做某事这个情节为切入点,展示目标语言,充分体现以“学生为主体,教师为主导”的教学思想;“以学生为中心,以任务为主”的教学原则。设计多样的“任务”,让学生在快乐中参与,完成。其中有两个小组和4人一组的活动。活动都是在一定的语境和情景中进行的,学生的听、说、读、写在活动中得到充分锻炼。突出培养学生用英语做事和用英语进行交流的理念,创造性地使用了英语,学以致用。在教学中渗透思想教育,教育学生做一个讲文明懂礼貌的人。
