The Water Cube is located in Beijing Olympic Sport Park, and covers an area of 79532 square metres, and has a seating capacity of about 11,000 spectators. Last week in our English class, we had a very heated discussion on the topic “Does beauty really make much sense?” Some students think that a fair face is a letter of recommendation. Good-looking appearance often makes a big difference in social communication, social competition, job hunting and so on. Not only can it make you become more confident but also it makes a lasting impression on the interviewer in the job interview.

Other students hold different opinions. They think charming appearance doesnt make any difference. Spiritual beauty is more important. A capable person is not necessarily good-looking. And similarly a fair-looking guy is not necessarily one with a great talent and kind heart.

In my opinion, both physical beauty and spiritual beauty are of the same importance. What I mean is that we should never ignore our spiritual beauty training while simply pursuing pretty appearance.
